- Savor the rich and bold flavors of the vast selection of American craft beers and imported beers during the fifth annual Jacksonville Craft and Import Beer Festival on Friday, May 17th. This bay area event recognizes some of the country’s more “spirited” attractions.
Surround yourself with fellow beer enthusiasts as you indulge your tastes and sample more than 300 beers from 45 different breweries. Nationally recognized brewers — such as Dos Equis, Guinness, and Heineken — will be at the event in addition to local favorites, including Intuition Ale and Orange Blossom Pilsner.
Hailed as the largest beer festival, this year’s event will incorporate all three levels of the Jacksonville Memorial Arena, ensuring ample space for attendees. While sampling some of the best brews in the world, patrons can also learn more about the particular blends and gain a sneak peek at how the beer industry operates.
Celebrate your love of beer with a VIP pass. This distinct privilege allows select patrons to sample participating restaurants’ treats, try additional beer samples, and listen to live music. Local band Something Distant — whose sounds resemble the ever-popular Matchbox Twenty, Jon Bon Jovi, and Daughtry — will also perform alongside a few DJs. ULTRA VIPs and VIPs also receive access up to two hours before general admission at 7 p.m.
This bay area event ends at 10 p.m., but patrons are advised that only the first 4,500 participants are guaranteed a 5 oz. beer sampling glass with their admission ticket. General admission costs $40 per person; VIP is $55. Sample some of the finest brews from around the world, and don’t forget to pair your favorites with select restaurant samples. Guests can also participate in the silent auction, snag a prize, or listen to live musical acts.
