A long-standing tradition for the people of Jacksonville, the 33rd Annual Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament at Jim King Park & Boat Ramp is an exciting event to watch as over 500 boats fish for hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes. Go down to the park and join thousands of spectators to watch the weigh-in and enjoy the festivities.
The Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament also features a Food Festival with juicy burgers, hot dogs, ice cream and the legendary Saturday Fish Fry. Hang out at Papa’s Pilar Liars’ Tent and enjoy live music by local acts, including George Aspinall Band and The Splinters. The festival offers a variety of exhibitors, with boat and fishing gear, a boat display and the Boatique selling official tournament merchandise and souvenirs. The weeklong festivities end with celebration at the Sea Walk Pavilion andspectacular fireworks that light up the IC Waterway.
Anglers under the age of 16 can compete in the Junior Angler Tournament. For a $10 entry fee, future anglers enjoy a fun fishing experience and learn good sportsmanship and conservation awareness.
