The 36th annual Gate River Run in Jacksonville is the largest 15K race in the country with America’s top Olympic runners competing. The Gate River Run serves as the USA 15K Championship with over 17,000 athletes competing for the $85,000 prize money.
The Gate River Run is a challenging race with remarkable scenery. Starting at EverBank Field, home of the Jaguars, the course winds through downtown Jacksonville, over the Main Street Bridge, and crosses the St. Johns River. Runners will pass through historic San Marco, down Atlantic Boulevard to the beautiful St. Nicolas neighborhood, cross the river at Hart Bridge, and end with a mile downhill to the stadium finish.
Runners can pick up their race packets, number and timing chip at the Runner’s Expo at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds next to EverBank Field. The 3-day runner’s expo will feature over 100 booths with the hottest running gear, shoes and fashions.
The Gate River Run is more than a race. It brings excitement, fun and music to downtown Jacksonville with twelve bands rocking runners and spectators along the race route and the awesome Publix Post Race Celebration with local bands and a fun crowd.
