We are excited to announce that The Spa at One Ocean has been recognized as a Top 100 U.S. Resort Spa in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2013 Readers’ Poll! Reviewing spas based on excellence in treatments, staff, facilities, number of treatment rooms and cost of a basic massage, the 2013 Reader’s Poll was voted on by 46,352 Condé Nast Traveler readers, with only 270 spas in North America, the Caribbean, Hawaii and Cruise Ships earning this distinction.
Our loyal spa goers and first-time guests aren’t surprised. With beautiful floor-to-ceiling views of the Atlantic Ocean, more than 40 marine-inspired rituals including massages, body wraps, peels, facials and more, eight treatment rooms, a pampering salon, private oceanfront VIP suites with in-room Swiss showers, and a complimentary Spa Bar packed with delicious goodies, there is no better place in Northeast Florida to escape after a long day than The Spa at One Ocean.
Thank you, everyone, for your support — we could not have achieved this fantastic recognition without you. To view The Spa at One Ocean and the other spas that received recognition in Condé Nast Traveler, visit www.cntraveler.com/spas/2013/03/best-spas-united-states-caribbean-mexico-cruise-ships.
While we are fortunate to have gorgeous weather year-round here in Atlantic Beach, we know some of our friends elsewhere are itching for a taste of the spring season. As the warmer months approach, it’s time to start thinking about spring cleaning. Before you start cleaning out the garage or dusting the attic, we suggest you start with yourself.
“In Atlantic Beach, we know that March means it’s already flip fop season, and residents are more than ready to kick off those winter boots,” said Spa Director of One Ocean Resort & Spa, Beverly Fox-Crismond. “Our ‘Wake Me Up Buttercup’ spring spa series does just that, shaking our skin out of its winter hibernation and getting guests ready for another season of sunshine here on the coast.”
Throughout the month of March, The Spa at One Ocean is offering guests more than 20 percent savings with the new “Wake Me Up Buttercup Treatments.” Blending an elegant mix of refreshing sea salts and warm fluorescent-infused oils, these treatments are ideal for cleaning yourself up and getting ready for spring.
With the “Wake Me Up Buttercup Pedicure,” citrus grass-scented sea salts combined with a rice bran oil scrub exfoliate weather worn toes while a creamy whole milk foot soak smoothens and locks in moisture. Once your feet are in tip top shape, the “Wake Me Up Buttercup Body Bliss” takes care of the rest. Beginning with a warm drizzle of agave nectar oil, soft stones are massaged into the neck and shoulders. The relaxation continues with a breath of fresh air as a citrus infused shea-butter cream is lightly applied to the entire body, leaving a soft and refreshed feeling from head to toe.
So ditch the vacuum and duster- buster for awhile and treat yourself. After all, the garage can wait!

One Ocean Resort & Spa is proud to once again sponsor 26.2 with Donna, The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer. The 26.2 with Donna Mission is to passionately produce world class events to raise funds for groundbreaking breast cancer research and empower women living with breast cancer. This year, 26.2 with Donna will be taking place on Feb. 17th at 7:30 a.m at ATP Tour Blvd. in Ponte Vedra Beach.
The 26.2 with Donna Mission began with Jacksonville native Donna Deegan, a three time breast cancer survivor who was initially diagnosed in 1989 and again in 2002 and 2007. After speaking with many women in the area who could not afford treatment, Deegan established the Donna Foundation, an organization that provides funding for women seeking breast cancer treatment in the Jacksonville area. An avid marathon runner, Donna started 26.2 with Donna, the only marathon in the country solely dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer. One hundred percent of marathon proceeds are donated to the Mayo Clinic, a not-for-profit medical practice and research group specializing in difficult cases, as well as to members of the Donna Foundation living with breast cancer.
Not a marathon runner? Rest assured, there are still plenty of ways for the community to participate in 26.2 with Donna. Runners and walkers of all paces are encouraged to come out the morning of the race, where a half marathon and marathon relay will also be offered. The course will be open for seven hours, and friends and loved ones of those participating are urged to come and cheer on the participants from the sidelines. Additionally, the 26.2 with Donna 5K & Family Fun Run will return on Feb. 16th, to be held in conjunction with the 6th Annual 26.2 with Donna. Runners will enjoy a timed warm-up race along the St. John’s River and a one-mile run/walk Family Fun Run.
